Corporate Movements

The following Corporate appointments were recently announced by Top Management.

1. Eduardo A. Sahagun as President and CEO.

Ed Sahagun was Chief Executive Officer of Holcim Philippines Inc. from January 2013 – November 1, 2016. Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President for Sales, Marketing and Distribution and Technical Services (now called Commercial) from 2007 to 2012. In this role, he led his team to expand the business by launching product and marketing innovations and customer-focused initiatives.

Ed brings with him over 35 years of experience in the cement Industry, holding a number of positions in Audit, Treasury and Controlling in the PHINMA Group before he was appointed Chief Finance Officer for Holcim Philippines 2002.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree and is a Certified Public Accountant. He also holds a Masters in Management in Science degree from the Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute (now Hult International Business School) in Boston, Massachusetts and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

He replaced Mr. Art Florendo who retired.

 

 

2. Agripino M. Roranes from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President

Pines started out with the Phinma Group as Budget Clerk of Bacnotan Consolidated Industries, Inc. (BCII) in 1977 and was later transferred to Kalayaan Commodities in 1978 and Davao Union Marketing Corp. (DUMC) in 1981 as Marketing Accountant. Mr. Roranes rose from the ranks occupying various positions up to Assistant Comptroller of DUMC in 1993. In 1995, Mr. Roranes was transferred to Bacnotan Steel Corp. as Marketing Manager. In 2002, he was promoted to AVP-Marketing then to Vice President-Marketing in 2005 and became Sr. Vice President in 2009.

Pines graduated from Divine Word University in Legazpi City and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

 

3. Inocencio E. Aquino promoted to Vice President, Sales from Assistant Vice President-Marketing Luzon 2, effective April 1, 2017

Enteng has been with UGC for 29 years starting as a Cadet Engineer of the Bacnotan Consolidated Industries Inc.- Poro Steel Plant and moving up to Production Engineer of Calamba Plant Color Coating Line in January 1990. In 1999, Enteng was transferred to the Marketing Department as Marketing Manager and was promoted to Assistant Vice President for Luzon 2 Marketing in 2012 covering the areas of NCR, CALABARZON and the Bicol Region.

Enteng is a licensed Electrical Engineer and obtained his bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University, Baguio City. He attended the Basic Management Program (BMP) at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in 1996 and the Phinma Leadership Development Program (LEAD) in 2016.

 

 

4. Gabriel Anton S. del Rosario appointed as AVP-Marketing effective April 1, 2017

Anton received his Master of Business Administration, major in Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) last March 2012.

He completed his Bachelor of Arts, major in Humanities with specialization in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Asia and the Pacific.

Anton joined the PHINMA Group last 2013 starting as an Assistant Marketing Executive at Phinma Property Holdings Corporation. In the course of his stint at PHHC, he also worked in Project Development and in Corporate Sales. Prior to joining PHINMA, Anton was Marketing Manager for Matrix Entertainment Inc.
